The deaf talents behind this site!
The deaf talents behind this site!
In 2022, I launched the Facebook page “Être privé de langue maternelle en LSF – Cédric Cannone” and the Instagram account “Privelsf”. Here, I share an experience that many people are unaware of or are gradually discovering: that of having been deprived of one’s language from childhood.
I’ve received some wonderful feedback, encouragement and thoughts… But I’ve also noticed that this subject is still too invisible for many people. Maybe people don’t always have the time to dive into the videos, to look at the photos from the beginning…
And sometimes people ask me, “Who the hell are you? I’m simply someone who wants to make heard what we don’t see, what we don’t say enough.
So I decided to create my own site, to make it easier for the public to access clear, comprehensive information that’s accessible to everyone.
In France, the deaf community is full of talent: deaf designers and web design pros. And frankly, it’s super inspiring. I was lucky enough to collaborate with two incredible deaf people: Daniel Le Coq (Dano) and Vincent Marchal. They listened to my vision, my desires, with the common desire to propose a site that speaks to the public and touches them.
I loved talking to them in LSF: communication was fluid, natural and enriching. That’s the strength of our community: we understand each other, we support each other, we create together, and we make our culture shine.
Many thanks to Vincent and Dano 🙏 💚 🦒
